Inauguration Day 2009 was the beginning of one of the greatest gifts God has allowed me to behold. The pride and unity that was in the air and in my heart was like nothing I had ever experienced. It was a gift that will rest in my heart forever. To be on the hill, amoungst the crowd where there was "standing room only", listening to President Barack Obama deliver his speech, I felt the ultimate elation, joy and pride. Although we were elbow to elbow, the unity and peace in the air was massive. I am very aware, however, that the speech delivered by our President was a definate charge of the work ahead that has to and can only be accomplished by President Obama's genius and commentment along with the undying support of the people. We worked diligently during the campaign which was a good start. Now we must roll up our sleeves and continue to work together even harder to transform the speech into our reality. Although January 20, 2009 was momentus, it was not the prize, merely a beginning.
